Enrichment Programs
In addition to the ALO differentiation that takes place in the classroom, there are both Math and Literacy Enrichment programs for students who meet the criteria. Participation in these programs is considered a privilege. Students are expected to stretch themselves, tackle challenges with an open mind and positive attitude and keep up with their regular classroom assignments.
Math Enrichment Program
The purpose of the Math Enrichment program is to challenge students by offering opportunities to dive deeper into curriculum and explore a variety of problem solving strategies. Students study each mathematic strand including numbers, geometry, measurement, probability & statistics, patterns & functions, and problem solving. Students build a portfolio of work to share at conference time.
Literacy Enrichment Program
The purpose of the Enrichment Literacy program is to challenge students by offering opportunities to dive deeper into curriculum and explore a variety of reading and writing strategies.
