Open House and Virtual Open House February 2025

For 2025-26 incoming students and prospective parents/guardians. We ask that only parents and guardians attend so that Principal Taylor can communicate without interruptions.

• Open House in the Library – Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 6-7 p.m.
• Virtual Open House – Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 1 p.m.

Kindergarten Enrollment

If your child will be five by August 31, 2025, you are eligible to register them for kindergarten. Registration for 2025-26 for incoming kindergarten students and students new to Seattle Public Schools will begin in January 2025.

Students New to Seattle Public Schools

All new student registration, including kindergarten, is completed online. Visit our Enroll My Student webpage.

Every student in Seattle Public Schools is automatically assigned to their attendance area school, which is determined by where they live. Families can also choose to request that their student attend a different school through the Open Enrollment for School Choice Process.

Items you will need to register new students:

• Parent or guardian photo ID
• Child’s passport or birth certificate
• Two (2) proofs of home address dated within past eight (8) weeks
• Child’s immunization (shots) record

Applying for Another School – Open Enrollment for School Choice

If your student wants to apply to attend a school that is not their assigned school, you must submit a School Choice form. We encourage families to apply during the Open Enrollment period. Only forms submitted during Open Enrollment will receive tiebreakers. Applications received after Open Enrollment are prioritized based on the date the application is received.

School Choice forms will be available on February 1st, 2025 online or at the John Stanford Center. More information and the forms are available on the School Choice and Open Enrollment page.
